佑潔和宣宣是一對人人稱羨的同婚伴侶，在他們所生活的近未來世界，人們仰賴大數據的命運預測而活。他們雖然個性互輔，情感相依，但佑潔對於命運的抵抗，卻和宣宣順服於“Book of Bayes（BOB）”這個命運預測APP的理念大相逕庭。

然而某日Aasta這位第三者的出現，打破了這段婚姻關係裡原本堅定和諧的景況，讓他們原本的生命認知，展開了巨大的翻轉。

究竟這個複雜的三角關係會受大數據的牽引如何發展，他們會讓未來的選擇，服膺於BOB藉分析「過去」的生痕，給予的人生指引？還是突破命運的包裹，勇敢迎向「未來」？誰能看清大數據的擺弄，找出命運預測裡最大的人造謊言？

他們在這個龐雜的，如同由億兆顆沙粒所組成的生命之流裡，奮力地尋找自己真正的樣子。

Set in the near future where people leave their fates up to big data, the Book of Bayes is a feature film about Yo Jie and Xuan Xuan, a same-sex married couple, who are much admired by their peers. At times their personalities clash, but their differences are also what helps complete each other. While Yo Jie refuses to surrender to destiny, Xuan Xuan has a strong attachment to a fate-prediction app called, BOB. The introduction of the free-spirited Aasta suddenly wrecks what was once a stable and harmonious relationship. What they thought they knew about life quickly begins to unravel. Will this complex love triangle survive the algorithms of big data, or can they break free of their tethered faith in BOB, and walk boldly into an uncharted future? Who will be able to see through the manipulative analytics of big data and uncover the biggest man-made lie in the prediction of fate? They seek hard to find their true selves amongst the trillion grains of sand in the river of life.
